Carolyne has a deep passion for the power of positivity, and the choice for happiness and optimism. She has been self-researching and self-studying happiness and positive psychology as a powerful tool for coping with change, be it personal change due to illness, personal loss and job transition, to corporate change strategies, to how to cope with a rapidly changing world in the midst of extreme weather, climate change, and the overwhelming influx of rapidly changing social media.

Carolyne received her M.Sc. Degree in Astrophysics from the University of Calgary and then went on to complete her diploma in meteorology. Carolyne went on to work as a meteorologist in many locations across the country. Her first posting as a meteorologist began in Halifax, NS, and thereafter in various the weather offices across Canada. Carolyne eventually returned to Halifax as an extreme weather program supervisor and hurricane specialist, dealing closely with the public, emergency personnel, media and various clients.

With various roles under her belt as a meteorologist, volunteer, and mentor, Carolyne has most recently begun working  on Work Life balance and wellness issues. Incorporating work-life balance principles within the yogic perspective has become a particular passion.

Carolyne’s is known as a very positive speaker, who has the ability to talk about difficult topics with honesty, compassion, vulnerability and humour. Whether talking about science topics such as the destruction caused by extreme weather, or more personal topics such as strategies for developing tools to achieve self-acceptance and personal empowerment, she is able to bring the topic to an easy level of understanding for all audience members. She is an active leader, researcher, and mentor with the ability to inspire audiences.
